Low-dose acetylsalicylic acid
Aspirin at doses of 75-100 mg daily used as a cardiovascular antiplatelet agent. It blocks the synthesis of arachidonic acid-derived prostaglandins in platelets and endothelium, hindering platelet aggregation. In Spain it is marketed as Adiro (gastro-resistant tablets of 100 and 300 mg) and A.A.S. 100 mg, both authorised by the AEMPS.
