Colecalciferol

A form of vitamin D3 used as a medicine to prevent and treat vitamin D deficiency. The AEMPS has reported serious cases of hypercalcaemia due to overdosing with colecalciferol, following a characteristic pattern in children, including newborns and infants who received doses far above those recommended or presentations intended for adults.
