SERMs (selective oestrogen receptor modulators)

Drug class to which enclomiphene and clomifene belong. They act on the oestrogen receptor by blocking the negative feedback of estradiol in the hypothalamus, which raises GnRH, LH and FSH and stimulates the testes to produce the body's own testosterone without suppressing spermatogenesis.
